Snook

This article concerns the name SNOOK.

This is how Snook comes into my family tree.

My father, Leslie James Locke, was the son of Joseph Locke who married Agnes Florence Snook (born 1875).

Agnes Snook is on the left in the above photo. She is standing next to her daughter, Ivy Doris Locke.

Agnes married Joseph Locke in 1903 at Andover. She died in Fareham in 1956 aged 81.

The father of Agnes was George Snook, born 1833, died 1921.  He married Jane Brown who was born in 1841.

Joseph and Agnes had four children: Leslie (born 1904), Ivy (born 1905), Leonard (born 1907) and William (born 1908.)

Leonard G died in 1914  aged 6 at Andover. It was said he was hit by a car.
