Experiment
This is an archive page; the audio links have been removed.
I thought I would have a go at doing an audio blog. This is what I came up with:
It seems to have worked. The last syllable was cut off. I actually said, “This has been Trevor Locke, two thousand and nineteen.” If I do another audio piece I will rehearse it before I record it. I also need to make sure the script works with the speech.
But this has been a quick experiment. I didn’t want to spend a lot of time working on something that would not function. I can make some technical improvements. No doubt. Whether I will want to do it on a regular basis. Remains to be seen.
Invigorated by the success of the previous exercise, I decided to record one of my poems. Day again, 1966. Not previously published.
There is an added something to hearing someone speaking a poem. Rather than just reading it from a page.
